New ‘Walking Dead’ Board Game

Cryptozoic Entertainment has announced a Q4 release date for The Walking Dead: The Best Defense, the follow-up to its best-selling The Walking Deadboard game from 2011, the company’s best seller to date.  
 
Announced at Toy Fair in February with the tentative title of The Walking Dead: Road to the Prison Board Game, The Walking Dead: The Best Defense differs from the original in both setting and in its cooperative nature.  Set during the third season of the television show, players take on the roles of series characters such as Rick, Daryl, and Michonne and work to defend resources from approaching Walkers for 12 rounds.  The Leader of each round makes decisions to defend the group from calamities, but the other players can defy the Leader, for a price.
